Traveline National Data Set, of regularly updated timetable schedules. Is now available as open data and links to the associated datasets:

NaPTAN all bus and coach stops, bus, rail, metro and underground stations, and ferry ports and landings.
National Gazetteer towns and villages referenced by public transport information
The National Operator Codes dataset lists all the bus operators referred to in the Traveline timetable data and the Public Name that they are known by.
Serviced Organisations and Holiday Tables. The dates of school and terms holidays for every serviced organisation.

The API will return scheduled departure times or, where real-time is available to NextBuses, it will return a real-time estimate instead.
